Saving a life with the sound of music
Top notch jazz and soul was played at our charity concert at the Berlin Malzfabrik. Alongside a short talk and a photo exhibition on DfM and our work, we went on a tour of the old malthouse and enjoyed authentic Madagascan food. The musical enjoyment was provided by the Jazz & Soul duo Christine Seraphin and Paul Berberich, who not only entertained the guests excellently but also donated their fee to the project.
“Misaotra besaka” – “thank you very much” – for another amazing Madagascar-evening at one of Berlin’s top venues with a fantastic atmosphere, cool music and lots of fascinating things to learn. This event was made possible by the musicians Boe van Berg and the Linnencafé. Here too, the donation box was well-filled and contributed to our Emergency Surgery Fund.
Classical chamber music, a cappella and Funk: nearly 40 musicians and singers proved their talent at our two charity concerts in Oxford to raise money for our former sister charity Doctors for Madagascar UK. Fun was had all round with a glass of “Madagascar Sunrise”!
