MEDICAL COORDINATOR MADAGASCAR

DR RINJA RANAIVOSON

Dr Rinja joined Doctors for Madagascar in February 2017. This young physician, trained in La Habana, Cuba and fluent in five languages, is highly motivated to improve the health care system of his home country to serve his people. As a medical coordinator of the Atsimo-Andrefana region, he is in the perfect spot to do so. In close collaboration with our partner clinic in Ejeda and eight surrounding communal health centres, Rinja’s primary goal is the improvement of care for pregnant women and their newborns.
In his free time, the ever so optimistic Rinja loves to play football as part of the clinic’s team.
